It’s Me, My Emotions Art Competition

This competition gives freedom to Filipino artists to express their emotions and feelings through visual art. This will also showcase the creativity, artistry and talent of Filipino artists.

Competition Rules

Eligibility
The contest is open to all Filipino ages 16 years old and above residing here in the Philippines.

Theme:
“It’s me, my emotions.”
Express yourself and your emotions through visual art.

Entry Categories
The competition consist of two (2) categories: Open and Student category.

Student entries are limited to students currently enrolled in an accredited academic institution.

If you are a student, you may make entries into the Open category but you may not also make submissions in the Student category.

Non-students must submit in the Open category.

Entry Requirements
For digitally rendered artworks and scanned manually produced artworks, entries should be in 300 “dpi” resolution and should be in JPEG format.

Only images produced by the participants (i.e. own photographs, drawings, paintings) or signified as owned by the participants are acceptable. (Images, vector files from image bank is not allowed.)

Artworks, maybe it digital or scanned work should follow the minimum size of 8.5×11 (Letter size) inches and maximum of 8.3×11.7 inches (A4 size).

All artworks should be ready for digital printing.

Duration

• Submission of entries will start on October 20, 2011
• Deadline of submission of entries will be on November 11, 2011
• The search for People’s Choice will start on November 12 and end on November 26.
• Winners of the contest will be announced and awarded on November 28, 2011.

Prize Selection

Prize winners will be selected from among all eligible entries received by The Next Step Events Inc.
Winners will be chosen by the decision of a panel of judges, whose decisions will be final in respect of any matters relating to the competition.

Entries will be judged on artistic ability, composition, creativity and impact.
People’s choice will be awarded on the artwork with most number of likes.

Grand Winner – Php 15,000
1st Runner Up – Php 10,000
2nd Runner Up – Php 5,000

Open Category
Grand Winner – Php 20,000
1st Runner Up – Php 15,000
2nd Runner Up – Php 10,000

People’s Choice – Php 5,000

Submission Requirements

1. Fill up the registration form with complete details. You can download the registration form in our website: www.nextstepevents.com
2. Please use the subject: “IT’S ME, MY EMOTIONS ART COMPETITION” in your email.
3. Attach the filled up registration form and your artwork in your email and send it to eventsandmarketing@nextstepevents.com.
4. Entries submitted before or after the stated date shall not be accepted.
5. During the submission, the entry must have the following:
6. Completely filled up and signed official entry form with 1×1 I.D. picture.
7. Photo copy of 1 valid I.D. For Students category, the only accepted I.D is Current School I.D. For Open category, the only accepted I.D. includes: Current School ID, PRC License, Driver’s License, Official Company ID, copy of Passport, Posttal ID, SSS ID, GSIS-E Card, Senior Citizens ID, Voters ID, NBI/Police Clearance, AAP Membership ID.

10. All major prize winning entries will automatically become properties of The Next Step Events Inc and its subsidiaries

Judges may decide not to award prizes if the entries do not meet certain artistic and competition requirements. All decisions of the panel of judges SHALL BE FINAL.

The intellectual property rights over all prize-winning works and other non-winning works shall be given to The Next Step Events Inc. in perpetuity. This includes the right to use, produce or reproduce, prepare derivative works of the designs for whatever purpose and whichever form as many be deemed fit by The Next Step Events Inc. without further compensation to the artist or his heirs and assignees.

The Next Step Events Inc. reserves the right to use the name and photo of the artist and his/her entry for free in any broadcast, or print medium.
